SettleMath

Terms of Service

Last updated October 28, 2026

These terms are the agreement between you and SettleMath ("we", "us"), which runs settlemath.app ("the site"). By using the site or starting a plan, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.

1. What the site is

The site is an information service. It shows numbers, charts and history about the 15-minute Bitcoin up/down market listed by a CFTC-regulated exchange: the SettleMath model's estimate, signals and what they point to, the market's prices, base rates from past windows, tools to test signals on past markets, and a record of how accurate all of these have been.

The site does not take orders, place trades, hold money or connect to anyone's trading account. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by that exchange, CF Benchmarks, Coinbase, Kraken, Bitstamp or Deribit.

2. Not advice

Nothing on the site is investment, trading, financial, legal or tax advice. Signals and the SettleMath model are shown with labels such as "Buy Up", "Buy Down" or an edge in cents: each says what a published signal or model reads from market data at that moment, by fixed rules, the same for everyone. They are not personal recommendations and are not tailored to you, and a signal's past record does not mean it will keep working. Any decision you make is yours alone. Event contracts involve risk of loss, including the loss of everything you put into a contract.

3. Accuracy and availability

Results the site shows for past markets - the signals' records on the leaderboard and the home page, the Lab's scanner and simulators, the penny tester and the week's record - are hypothetical: no trade was placed. HYPOTHETICAL OR SIMULATED PERFORMANCE RESULTS HAVE CERTAIN LIMITATIONS. UNLIKE AN ACTUAL PERFORMANCE RECORD, SIMULATED RESULTS DO NOT REPRESENT ACTUAL TRADING. ALSO, SINCE THE TRADES HAVE NOT BEEN EXECUTED, THE RESULTS MAY HAVE UNDER-OR-OVER COMPENSATED FOR THE IMPACT, IF ANY, OF CERTAIN MARKET FACTORS, SUCH AS LACK OF LIQUIDITY. SIMULATED TRADING PROGRAMS IN GENERAL ARE ALSO SUBJECT TO THE FACT THAT THEY ARE DESIGNED WITH THE BENEFIT OF HINDSIGHT. NO REPRESENTATION IS BEING MADE THAT ANY ACCOUNT WILL OR IS LIKELY TO ACHIEVE PROFIT OR LOSSES SIMILAR TO THOSE SHOWN.

Numbers come from public sources and may be delayed, incomplete or wrong. Our Bitcoin price is our own composite of several exchanges, an estimate, not the official index a market settles on. Our model is a simplification and is explained on the site with its known limits. Any accuracy record we publish describes the past and does not promise anything about the future.

We try to keep the site running, but we don't promise it will always be available, fast or free of errors. Feeds can fail; when a number is stale the site tries to show that, but it can't catch every problem.

4. Who can use it

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract. You are responsible for following the laws that apply to you where you live, including any rules about event contracts.

5. Your account

Sign-in is provided by Clerk. Keep your sign-in secure; you are responsible for what happens under your account. An account is for one person; don't share it or resell access. Tell us at once if you think someone else has used it.

6. Plans, passes and billing

Refunds are covered on the Refunds page.

7. Using the site fairly

The site is for your own personal use. You may share an occasional screenshot for discussion. You may not:

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these rules, without refund for the period in which it happened.

8. Ownership

The site's design, text, code and our own calculations belong to us. Market and price data belong to their sources and are used under their terms.

9. No warranties

The site is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, to the extent the law allows.

10. Limits on our liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any trading or investment losses, lost profits, or indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages arising from your use of the site, even if we were told they were possible. Our total liability for any claim about the site is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim arose.

11. Changes and ending the service

We may change or remove features. We may update these terms; the date at the top shows the latest version, and we will email subscribers about significant changes before they apply. If we shut the service down, we will refund the unused part of any paid period.

You can stop using the site and delete your account at any time from your account page.

12. Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Texas, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring it elsewhere.

13. Contact
